About me
Hi — I’m Sonsie Elliott. I believe there is a natural flow that lives within each of us. When we learn to listen inwardly, we breathe new energy into our daily rhythms, soften the noise of the world, and reconnect with presence and purpose. This inner flow restores clarity and groundedness. It already exists inside you — waiting to be awakened, felt, and lived.
My path
For the past eight years I’ve been privileged to facilitate yoga full-time, teaching and living in the UK, Canada, India, and New Zealand. These journeys have shaped my approach and deepened my understanding of how yoga can support modern, busy lives. I now call Portugal home.
My teaching is inspired by functional anatomy, somatic awareness, and traditional yogic practices. These influences guide my invitation to you:
- inhabit the body, heart, and mind
- arrive in moment-to-moment presence
- cultivate equanimity amidst change
I’ve completed over 1,000 hours of training, and I continue to be shaped by the guidance of teachers including Jason Crandell, Tara Judelle, Anandra George, Jill Shepherd, and the Vipassana tradition of S.N. Goenka.
A little more about me
Before I taught yoga, I studied Law and Philosophy. Those years strengthened my love of inquiry and continue to inform how I listen, learn, and explore the human experience. Yoga became the place where my curiosity for embodiment, wisdom, and wellbeing finally met. It has changed the way I move through life — and I want to share that transformation with you.
The heart of my work
I love to bring together people who want to take their practice deeper — who want more than exercise, and are ready for a shift in how they feel, breathe, and navigate the world.
Through mindful movement, breath, and rest, we return again and again to what is steady and true. This is not about perfection. It’s about awakening what’s already within you. Let’s find out together.
Sonsie Yoga. Awaken your flow.
